Egypt: Ancient Egyptians would play a ropeless Tug O War. Three young men line up on either side of a drawn line and first team to pull all their opponents over win.
World Games: Two teams of eight whose total weight must not exceed a maximum weight for the class align themselvs at either end of a rope with a dividing center line.
